About the Campaign
Hi, my name is Devin. I’m 15 years old and I have an amazing opportunity to take a missionary trip over spring break, with the High School Ministry at my church (The Shoreline Church) to Tanzania Africa over spring break. We are partnering with Small Steps For Compassion, a US based non-profit committed to empowering individuals to transform communities through compassionate action. Small Steps has a children’s home in Usa River, Tanzania.
Small Steps currently has 25 girls, ages 3 to 13, in a loving home and have won awards for innovation in the way children are cared for. This home provides food, shelter, and full education for the girls. Small Steps For Compassion also has a school next door where they provide schooling for almost 300 disadvantaged kids in the area.
Although this will not be my first missions trip, I’ve been on quite a few to Tijuana and Ensenada, Mexico, this will be my first to another continent.
For this trip I am trying to raise a total of $2,800, which is the full cost of this trip, including airfare, lodging, transportation, and meals.
Since both Small Steps and The Shoreline Church are 501(c)3 non-profits all donations given are tax deductible and you will receive a donation statement at the end of the year.
Thank you for your consideration in helping me get to Tanzania in order help others less fortunate than us.
