About the Campaign
Hello, my name is Isaac Lloyd.
I have been given an amazing opportunity to be a part of a mission team that is going to Tanzania, Africa, March 31st – April 9th, to serve at a girl’s home run by Small Steps for Compassion in Usa River. Small Steps for Compassion is a US-based non-profit “committed to empowering individuals to transform communities through compassionate action.” You can find out more about Small Steps at smallstepsforcompassion.org. I urge you to visit their website and see the impact they’re making in Tanzania. I will be traveling with eleven other students and four leaders from my youth group at The Shoreline Church. We will arrive in Tanzania and spend our time getting to know the staff and the young girls who live at Small Steps. We will also be jumping in on any ongoing projects where they might need help. Small Steps also purchased an adjacent school, Steps Academy and currently has 0ver 200 co-ed students enrolled. My friends and I might even be able to play some worship music for the home or school, hopefully. However, the main focus of this trip, for our team and me, is to build relationships. We are committed to shining a light on these girls and letting them know they are loved by us and the Lord.
I will need to raise my own support for this trip and would ask that you prayerfully consider helping me to raise the $2,800 dollars, which is the full cost of this trip, including airfare, lodging, transportation, and meals, that I need to serve in Tanzania by making a tax-deductible donation to The Shoreline Church in my name. Please also keep me and my team in your prayers as we prepare for this trip.
Since both Small Steps and The Shoreline Church are 501(c)3 non-profits all donations given are tax-deductible and you will receive a donation statement at the end of the year.
